On November 10, 2011, the U.S. Department of Education announced the highest rated applicants for Investing in Innovation (i3) grants. The U.S. Department of Education recently made $150 million available for the second round of Investing in Innovation (i3) grants to further support evidence-based practices in education. Achievement and high school graduation rates in rural schools, and the promotion of STEM education are added priorities for the second round.
